Terms of Service
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Welcome to Sock Market. These Terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Fileflow Solutions Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), who operates Sock Market (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Sock Market.
What Sock Market is — and isn’t
Sock Market is a tool that helps families track chores, allowance, savings goals, and money lessons. It is a record-keeping and teaching tool, not a bank or a payment service. We never hold, move, transfer, or process any real money. Balances, “payouts”, and the weekly “interest” lesson are numbers we help you keep track of — they are not real financial accounts, deposits, or returns.
Any actual money you choose to give your children is entirely between you and them. You are solely responsible for whether, when, and how you pay out. Sock Market does not guarantee or settle any payment, and nothing in the Service is financial, investment, or tax advice.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 and the parent, guardian, or another adult authorised to set up the family.
- You’re responsible for everything done under your account, including keeping your password and grown-up PIN private.
- The grown-up PIN is a convenience lock to keep children out of parent controls — it is not a security guarantee.
Children
Children don’t create accounts or sign in. A grown-up sets up the family and adds each child’s display name and avatar. You are responsible for the information you enter about your children and for supervising their use of the Service. Please see our Privacy Policy for how we handle children’s information.
Subscriptions and billing
Some features are offered on a paid subscription. Where a paid plan applies, these terms govern it:
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly at the price shown when you subscribe. A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Payments are handled by our payment processor; we don’t store full card details.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices with reasonable notice, effective at your next renewal.
Using it fairly
Please don’t misuse the Service. Among other things, don’t:
- break the law, or use Sock Market to harm, exploit, or endanger a child;
- try to access other families’ data, break security, or disrupt the Service;
- copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service except as the law allows.
Your data
Your family’s information is yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process it so we can run the Service for you. We describe this in the Privacy Policy. You can export your money history and delete your account at any time.
Availability and “as is”
We work hard to keep Sock Market running, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or discontinue features, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable. We don’t guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fileflow Solutions Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any money you did or didn’t give your children. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your use
You can stop using Sock Market and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or if needed to protect the Service or its users.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
