Questions about billing
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 7 days free. You enter a card to start it, and you are not charged if you cancel before it ends. Seven days is deliberate: it always contains one Sunday, which is when savings interest is paid, so you see that part of the app working before you decide.
Do I pay per child?
No. It is one flat price for the family, covering up to four children, each with their own balance, jobs, savings goal and reading level. Adding a second child does not change what you pay.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, in a couple of taps from Account and plan, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling during the trial charges you nothing at all.
Do you hold or move my money?
Never. Sock Market is a tracker, not a bank. The dollars are real and you settle them with your kids yourself — there is no bank account to link, no card for your child, and nothing for us to lose.
What does it cost in Canadian dollars?
Those are Canadian dollars — $9.99 CAD a month or $99.99 CAD a year. Sock Market is run from British Columbia and bills in CAD.
Is there a free version?
The app itself is paid, but a good deal of Sock Market is free and always will be: the guides, the printable chore charts, the chore-cost calculator, and a working demo you can use without an account or a card.
